Matt Applegate is an Assistant Professor of English & Digital Humanities at Molloy College and Director of the Writing Concentration. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Comparative Literature at Binghamton University–SUNY, and held a fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities at Binghamton University (IASH). He specializes in critical theory, digital humanities, digital literacy, and the political economy of media.
He is currently working on a book project, Guerrilla Theory: Political Concepts for a Critical Digital Humanities, and a number of articles dealing with Internet language, critical code studies, and digital archival work as a practice of adversarial design.
